2007/11/23 Thanksgiving Dinner!Horray! I had my first annual home made Thanksgiving Dinner. After 10+ years in the US, my cousins and I finally decided that we should give turkey a try... so starts our journey!!! We brought a 12lb unfrozen turkey, left it outside the whole day till unfrozen. We google Thanksgiving Dinner Recipe and decided to go with Stuffed Roasted Turkey... The stuffing is like a mixed of a bunch stuff - carrots, celery, pepper, onion, tomato, potato... so on.. obviously with ingredients (sort of followed the recipe). Anyway, here's how it look. (it certainly looked better than before). Other stuff did turn out pretty well - pasta, mashed potato.. and that's it.. hehe.. Anyway, we had a lot of fun, and it is from now on a tradition among us.. haha.. Before

2007/11/12 Wisdom Teeth ExtractionMy insurance company has approved my wisdom teeth extraction months ago, but I didn't find the referral till recently. Anyway, I made an appointment thinking that it would only be an examination, not the actual extraction. I drove there from school (NJ - NY Queens), it took about 1.5 hour with traffic and such. Basically, once I filled out my info and got taken into the examination room, the oral surgeon was like, "are you ready for the extraction?". Obviously, I was like "I thought this is just an examination." Regardless, I made a decision of going with the flow and get them out. Better get it done than hold it forever.
I had my #16 & #17 extracted (left upper and lower wisdom teeth). The surgery took less than 45 min. I didn't feel pain but a lot of pressure. The upper tooth took like 2 minute, but the lower tooth took a while since it was growing slightly diagonal. The oral surgeon had to crank it and use some sort of tooth removal screw gun sort of thing to get it done. At the end, I got couple stitches and now awaits for recovery. I don't feel anything at my upper tooth but my lower tooth is slightly annoying. I had to put depressing sponges in there to hold the bleeding. The doctor also prescriped M357 (vicodin) for pain relief. Apparently these drugs are quite addictive, so I only took two so far.. they did make me sleepy thou.

Oh. On the way there, driving through Holland Tunnel, I had a mini accident when changing from a cash only lane to a e-z pass lane. Luckily it was a minor tap, so the driver of the car that I tapped didn't really ask for anything. This would be a secret from my parents (they don't ever go online.. ).
On the other hand, there has been a lot thing going on with Rocky. It seem that he has been spoiled by us, so he's not really listening to his owner lately. On Thursday night, he wouldn't go back to his own house when the owner (Dante) came to pick him up. So.. once Rocky went back, we heard a little bit of coaching going on next door. So the next day (Friday), we decided regardless how long Rocky barks, we would just let it go and ignore it (we thought the owner was mad at us and don't want us to take care of Rocky again). It turn out that another neighbor went into Dante's apartment and took Rocky out for a walk. When she returned, she found that she had accidentially locked Dante's house. While standing there not knowing what to do, Rocky sort of just came to our door and cry (dog's crying style.. whinning).. So the lady knocked on our door, and we end up taking in the dog.
We played with Rocky the whole day, and obviously he's quite exhausted.
At the end, we had to leave Rocky at our apartment because everyone had to go home that night. Normally I stay for the weekend, but since I had to get my Wisdom teeth out, I had to leave. Felt bad.
What happen next (from what I heard), Rocky was barking at midnight (I suppose the owner went out - Friday Night) and the cops came and left a note for Dante. With that incident, Dante decided to order a dog collar for Rocky. Basically, everytime ROcky barks, the dog collar would send a shock. Ouch.. sounds slightly unhumane, but according to sale's source, the collar shouldn't do any damage to the dog.
FOr week ahead, Dante would be going back home (Chicago?) for Thanksgiving, so my roommate or I would proabbly take Rocky to our house since we live close by. Hopefully my family would be cool with that, they are not thrill about dogs.
2007/11/8 狗狗ROCKY一直以来都超想养只狗。。 从小时候怕狗怕到哭到现在宠狗宠到不行。。 呵呵。。 变得挺多的。。 我现在住的apartment让人养狗可是我们学校不让。。 所以不能自己养。。 可刚刚好我们的邻居有条狗叫ROCKY - 是 Labrador Retriever. 今年2岁。。 大概人的14岁。 所以还是超好动的。。 因为最近是财务公司的busy时候。。 所以他经常早出晚归。。 我们看ROCKY天天在叫而且又很孤独所以就主动问邻居可不可以让他不在家里的时候让ROCKY跟我们玩。。 他也很爽快的答应了。。。 头一两天的时候ROCKY超不听话。。 带他出去的时候本来是去溜狗的。。可是变成被狗溜。。 呵呵。。 这两天好了很多。。。 不过等他完全听我们的话的时候因该还要等一阵子。。
Techfest 星期2那天终于完成了。。 跟我预期的差不多。。 所以还挺高兴的。。 呵呵 。。。 2007/11/3 Techfest 2007星期5开始了。。 Live Band Karaoke。。
刚刚开始的时候还担心少人来因为学校有两个 fraternity party。。 不过最后还是粉多人来了。。 大家都玩的很开心。。 我从4点开始到凌晨2点才完 。。 累死了。。 背都快挺不直了。。 （老了。。 555）
星期6。。 Car Show
天气预报说今天会下雨。。 所以人心惶惶的。。 不过还好没下雨。。 需然挺冷的。。 不过还是比预期的好。。 有20多辆车来了。。 都是超酷的那种。。（留口水）。。。 羡慕中阿。。 今天加起来筹款到900快。。 将全部donate给Hoboken University Hospital 从建新的ER.
今天晚上还有两个Techfest event 所以。。今天还没完啦。。。
Costume Contest万圣节那天参加了学校举办的Costume Contest. 我穿了个格格装所以参加了最佳种族的category。。 衣服是从mandarintouch.com买的。。 从上海运过来的。。 发了$130块。。 呵呵。。 也算是个赌博。。 因为想赢camera。。 不过幸好最终赢到了 。。。照相机是Casio Exilim Z77.. 还不错。。 价钱大概170（最便宜的）。。 可是还送了个2gb的记忆卡。。 所以因该要最少190.。 所以最后赌博赢了。。 呵呵 我的格格装。。 挺夸张的呵呵 。。
